Areas of specialism: celebrity, real life stories, entrepreneurs, food and travel related subjects and personalities. Priscilla combines an instinct for current trends, whether in pop culture, society, politics or business, with a natural ability to connect with her subjects.

Priscilla Pollara has been a newspaper journalist for four years. In this time, she has been on the staff of both the Daily Mail and the London Evening Standard as a reporter. She is now a freelance features journalist, interviewing high-profile celebrities, chefs, society types, TV stars and entrepreneurs  or writing about lifestyle for the Daily Mail, the Mail on Sunday, the London Evening Standard, The Daily Telegraph and US political magazine NewsMax. When not interviewing, she writes a Travel Blog and a ‘Culinary Adventures Abroad’ column for the Daily Mail’s website Mail Online. She is also one of the founding writers of the online food compendium, LoveFood.com.

Italian-born Priscilla first cut her journalistic teeth at the Conde Nast title Tatler, but ultimately, it was to newspapers she turned in order to sate her keen nose for a story and to absorb the attractive fast-paced, highly-charged pace of the newspaper world.

At the London Evening Standard, she was a reporter on the Londoner’s Diary, the award-winning satirical daily gossip column which documents anything from society’s foibles, political misdemeanours and reviews of well-attended glittering London parties. The political and celebrity contacts she acquired through her time on the Diary led to her being poached by the Daily Mail’s Richard Kay column, the paper’s own diary. Here, her address book thickened, and Priscilla found herself involved in grittier storylines, breaking stories and competing with rivals for exclusive revelations. It was during this time that she gained a deep interest in people, their stories and the reasons behind their lives’ certain twists and turns.

Since going freelance in the summer of 2011, Priscilla has become a food and travel commentator on the London Evening Standard, Daily Mail newspaper and on the paper’s website, Mail Online. She discusses food online at LoveFood.com and encompasses both fields in her ‘Culinary Adventures Abroad’ column.
