Joanna Langley is a Dubai-based journalist who has worked in the UAE for 10 years. She began her career in the Middle East as a reporter on The Gulf News, where she won an award from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in 2000 for her stories in the English press. Since then, she has worked on celebrity titles including Hello!, Grazia and OK. She also spent three years as deputy editor then editor of Arabian Woman, one of the region’s leading women’s magazines.

Joanna is now a full time freelance writer and lives in Dubai with her photographer husband and two young sons.
